There are as many answers to that question as there are singers in the countless pubs where the genre is still kept alive throughout Ireland today. \n\nEven after 100 years of independence from England\, the colonial era still haunts the streets of Ireland\, not least in folk music\, which has been revived among a generation of young people who take pride in their Irish language and nationality. \n‘Celtic Utopia’ unravels modern Irish history and introduces us to a refreshingly broad cast of characters\, including pierced punks\, rappers\, and ravers\, who come together to revive and reinterpret the classic folk music tradition with humor and renewed indignation. Prominent groups such as The Mary Wallopers and Lankum deliver sharp punchlines and even sharper songs\, of which there are fortunately plenty in the film.

DESCRIPTION:St. Patrick’s Day 3 Legged Charity Race 2026\n \n\nThis unique tradition raises money for children’s charities and kickstarts Copenhagen’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. \nAbout this Event \n☘️ When? St. Patrick’s Day\, Tuesday\, 17 March 2026 \n☘️ Where? Vesterbro Torv from 13:30. Race starts at 15:00 \n☘️ Entrance? 250 DKK donation per 2-person team (covers all beer on route). \n☘️ Sign-up? Register here today. Send your donation to MobilePay 299333 by selecting “Pay by invoice” at checkout (preferable) or use Eventbrite’s PayPal facility. \n— \nON THE DAY \nWe’ll be waiting for you outside The GOAT Bar & Cafe from 13:30. When you arrive\, you’ll check in and receive your 3LR pack containing your race armbands\, leg-tie\, and team sheet. \nCheck-in closes at 14:50. All teams must arrive before this time. \nROUTE IN 2026 \nThe race starts on Vesterbro Torv at 15:00\, and teams will be set off in groups of 10 every 5 minutes. DESCRIPTION:The Irish garage punk quartet SPRINTS will hit the stage at Loppen on March 17\, 2026\, with a new lineup and a new album. With their critically acclaimed debut album Letter to Self (2024) and the explosive new album All That Is Over in their luggage\, SPRINTS are cementing their position as one of the most exciting voices in the modern punk rock scene. \nSPRINTS were formed in Dublin in 2019 and today consist of Karla Chubb (vocals\, guitar)\, Sam McCann (bass\, vocals)\, Jack Callan (drums)\, and the newest member Zac Stephenson (guitar). The band has undergone a remarkable development – both artistically and personally – and has built a dedicated fanbase through honest lyrics and a unique cocktail of intricate alternative rock combined with brutal bursts of noise punk and grunge. \nTheir new album\, All That Is Over\, was written in the midst of a time of personal upheaval and a world in turmoil – shaped by wars\, the climate crisis\, and a constant struggle for identity and justice. Lead singer Karla Chubb describes it as a work born out of necessity: \n“I wrote every day because there was so much to process.
