H20 Presents

DOUBTING IVAN

When all is permitted, where does guilt take root?

Murder. Morality. And silly little love triangles.

Ivan once had all the answers. Now he’s never been less sure.

After trying to mediate a bitter family dispute, he makes a decision he can never take back. A highly publicised court verdict looms over the family while Ivan’s reason, conscience and sanity are put to the test – but he never asked for any of this. Or did he? It would all be pretty funny if it weren’t so very serious.

Everyone and everything is on trial.

Written and performed by Oisín Robbins, DOUBTING IVAN is a dark, intimate and playful modern reimagining of The Brothers Karamazov, the classic novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
