Cornamusa – World of Pipe Rock and Irish Dance delivers a spectacular show where rocking bagpipes, world-class Irish dance, and dramatic storytelling merge into a sensory experience unlike any other.
The audience is drawn into a captivating tale of freedom and the struggle for the English crown during the 18th-century Jacobite uprising – all staged in an impressive production featuring elite international dancers (including Gyula Glaser and Nicole Ohnesorge) and an award-winning seven-piece live band.
At the heart of the story lies a conflict that shook Europe: In 1714, Sophie of Hanover, a Protestant from a German dynasty, was to become Queen of England. But in Scotland and Ireland, opposition grew. The Jacobites – devout Catholics and supporters of the Stuart line – fought against the new Protestant power.
Here we meet Isla, born without speech but with a dancing strength that speaks louder than words. Together with Finn, the leader of the Jacobites, she becomes the focal point of a struggle for faith, freedom, and the future of her people.
