
Terms and Conditions
Concerning Membership of Irish Culture Association Denmark
1. Agreement Parties
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all agreements made with Irish Culture Association Denmark (ICAD) CVR: 45326098, hereinafter referred to as “The Association.”
2. Membership
2.1 Eligibility and Age Requirement
Membership is open to individuals, clubs, societies, or corporate entities that support the association’s purpose and accept these Terms.
- Members must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
- By registering, members confirm that they meet the age requirement. The Association reserves the right to request proof of age.
2.2 Registration and Activation
- Membership is activated upon payment of the membership fee and is valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
- New members may join at any time by paying the full membership fee.
- The membership fee is determined annually at the General Assembly.
2.3 Membership Fee and Renewal
- The annual membership fee is payable upon registration via MobilePay or bank transfer.
- Membership renewal notices will be sent via email before the current membership expires.
- Failure to pay the membership fee within 3 months of the due date will result in automatic deregistration from The Association.
2.4 Cancellation and Refund Policy – Membership
- In accordance with the Danish Consumer Agreement Act §18, Section 2, no right of withdrawal applies to memberships.
- Members may terminate their membership at any time by sending an email to membership@icad.dk. However, membership fees are non-refundable, even if the termination occurs within the membership period.
2.5 Membership Denial and Deregistration
- ICAD reserves the right to refuse membership applications. A decision to refuse membership must be upheld by at least two-thirds of the board members.
- Members who do not adhere to these Terms or fail to pay the membership fee within the stipulated period will be automatically deregistered.
3. Payment Terms
- Payments can be made via MobilePay or bank transfer.
- All payments must be made in Danish Kroner (DKK).
- A confirmation email will be sent upon successful payment.
4. Events and Ticketing
- ICAD organizes events, cultural activities, and workshops. Event participation may require separate ticket purchases.
- Event tickets are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in the specific event terms.
5. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
- Any complaints regarding membership, payments, or events must be sent in writing to membership@icad.dk.
- The Association will acknowledge receipt of complaints within 7 days and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, members may seek resolution through the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet) or other applicable mediation bodies.
6. Liability
- The Association is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage suffered at events, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
7. Personal data (GDPR)
- We respect your privacy and are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for citizens in the European Union.
The data we collect includes:
Personal Data: Name, email address, billing information (if applicable), and data associated with subscription.
Payment Data: MobilePay uses WooCommerce Subscriptions as third-party payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) to handle payments. We do not store your full payment details, such as credit card numbers. We hold the power to remove customers and data from the database. Please see here for more information.
We use your data to process your subscription, communicate with you regarding your subscription, and improve our service.
Your Rights Under GDPR:
Access: You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification: You can request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure: You have the right to request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.
Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Objection to Processing: You may object to the processing of your data for certain purposes.
Withdrawal of Consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time.
